i remember the last days i played diablo(and diablo 2) when these type of programs were common, however those were very different games, where once you steped out of town that person was likly to hostile you and kill you then try and "pop" your corpse and steal that item.... thankfuly that's impossible in Guildwars, so just relax and ignore the creepy people

Please, don't spread paranoia. He was either:

A)Mistaken about who he was talking to
B)Just messing around and trying to creep you out
C)Being lewd (talking about your other "staff " *nudge*

I am sure it was nothing. Calm down, have some ale, and watch the elementalists dance. If you want, I can post a picture of a "nude ranger orgy" that happened in the competition arena outpost a while back

Had the same thing happen to me at Lions Arch about armor. He knew what runes I had.

No screens cause it caugt me by suprise I had just mapped into town and some guy says in a whisper to me:
"Nice armor "
I replied: "Thanks"
he whispers:
"2 runes wont raise your skills by two"

I had one minor death in my gloves and one minor death in my boots a minor vigor in my leggings and a minor blood in my top

Now he could have been talking to someone about runes when I mapped in and didn't return his talk to them and accidentally whispered me again by mistake but it seems odd that he mentioned the runes effect not stacking when I was wearing two of the same ones.
1. Could be a random coincidence.
2. Could be I was mistakenly whispered.
3. Could be I was dealing with an A-net in game monitor. (which is what I believed)
In any situation "It Happened"
I'm not freaked or worried about it. It was suprising at first, but I just rationalized it as #3 and went on my merry way. Thought nothing more about it til I saw your post.
I'm not worried that someone can see my stats, skills, inventory etc.... If there isn't program out there that already does this, there will be soon enough. The bots came rather rapidly and others will too. A-net killed off most bots and will deal with the others as they come. If your worried, relax and realize Big Brother is watching and will clean house when necessary.
The real question is what do you fear will happen?
A-net has too much tied into the long range to let people hack away at their code and make the game unplayable. They patch every other day cause exploits are there. The timing of the patches should show you if something is amiss they will fix it quick.

nope i had no previous trades w/ anyone. i just got to grotto and went to armorer.

Incorrect.

If you have rank 2, You get a nice flashy staff visible in towns, or tombs.

Regards, Ashleigh.

Did it even occur to any of you that he had a 50/50 chance of being correct simply because the OP was a Necro. Pretty much every single spellcaster uses a wand or a staff, especially those with secondary proffessions like Ele as well.

So the tell could have been:
1. Mistell
2. Dirty joke
3. Random comment (very plausible)

There is no reason to even have a program to see other's inventory, there hasn't been much time to make one, and there is no convincing evidence here that someone actually used one, since just looking at your character gives me a 50/50 chance of guessing your weapon correctly.

Hmm.. I have two explainations because I've actually DONE them

Whispered a guy who has a cool character with some seedy suggestion like "Nice staff"
Whispered some random guy some random crap cos I'm totally bored and their reaction's funny.

I'm sure there are people out there like me so watch out

question: all these things your stating are 100% facts? no time to make one?(so you havent seen why they nerfed farming to stop the botters?-ppl will always have some type of progs to exploit ingame stuff no matter what time-frame they have)(if youve played diablo youd understand.hehe)

no convincing evidence: my whole point was to ask ppl and just bring it out to the public, and was looking for others who might have experienced it in some form. So, I am not forcing it on anyone that it's happening.

fenx.

added: there is one logical reason if something came out of a prog like this. which I would not suggest posting. cuz it would lead to an even more paranoid response.

I would like to ask a Mod. if they can close this. to avoid further repeated replies. thx in advance.
